Tehran : Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki in a farewell meeting with outgoing Uruguay ambassador to Tehran here Saturday afternoon said Iran has no limit to expansion of cooperation with Uruguay.
According to Foreign Ministry Media Department report, Mottaki by expressing Iran’s readiness to transfer its experiences in the fields of oil and gas to Uruguay said, “Iranians have a good image of Latin Americans.”
He appreciated the ambassador’s efforts during his tenure in Iran and also invited Uruguayan foreign minister to pay an official visit to Iran.
Mottaki said, “There are appropriate grounds for expansion of cooperation between the two countries and during foreign minister visit to Iran we can discuss the issue.”
Jose Luis Remedi Zunini, for his part, expressed his appreciation for Iranian cooperation during his tenure and added ” There exist good relations between the two countries, now.”
He expressed hope that bilateral ties can be promoted in different political, economic and agricultural fields.
