Iraqi critics of Iran-US talks on Iraq security are pleased with positive results of the negotiations calling for holding similar talks with Damascus and Riyadh.

Iraqi leaders from the Kurdish, Shia, Sunni Muslims and Turkmen communities are unanimous over the perception that Iranian active partnership in restoring Iraqi security was the reason for the current satisfactory situation replacing the US unilateral strategy in Iraq.

The Iraqi government is seriously preparing to organize the fourth round of Iran-US talks on Iraq calling for enhanced level of talks from ambassadors to foreign ministers.

Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari said in a meeting with Italian ambassador in Baghdad that Iraq gives importance to its relations with neighboring states and has planned to organize the fourth round of Iran-US-Iraq tripartite talks late November.

The US, refusing to admit consequences of its unilateral strategy in Iraq, is going after scapegoat and interprets the improved situation in Iraq as Iranian reduced interference in Iraqi internal affairs.

Whereas, all fair Iraqi statesmen and political leaders are unanimous that Iran has never made negative or arbitrary practice in Iraq and has always done its best to support Iraqi democratically-held government.

The US commander in Iraq Major General James Simmons said last week that negotiations with Iran on Iraq security had been fruitful and called for continued dialogue with Iran.

Under the current circumstances, Washington looks at Iran link as a bridge to provide a honorable way for pullout from Iraqi quagmire.

Four years after Iraqi occupation, the US has got acquainted with Iranian spiritual influence in Iraq.

Observers say that the US has understood that Iran has spiritual influence over Iraqi public opinion and wants to use it for honorable pullout from Iraq.

The Iraqi leaders, on the other hand, sees Iran-US interaction as a key for restoring security in the country.

They put forward the idea of Iran-US talks on Iraq security, because they believe their problems emanated from Iran-US dispute.

The Iraqi leaders including Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki believe that the two adversaries — Iranian and US governments — have done successfully in terms of Iraq security.

The Iraqi government has called for holding the fourth round of talks at foreign minister level saying that negotiations at ambassador level had been fruitful, so, the level of contacts should be upgraded to foreign ministers.

Meanwhile, the anti-Iran officials in the hierarchy of the Iraqi government calls for US negotiations with Saudi Arabia.

They believe that the scope of negotiations on Iraq security should include all the neighboring states stirring unhealthy competition among the states.

There is no doubt that Saudi partnership in this stage of negotiations on Iraq which passes the primary stages may escalate confidence crisis among neighboring states in order to boost US influence in the region.

The Iraqi government, however, prefers to exclude negotiations on Iraq security to Iran and the United States. So, in the near future, there is no program on negotiations with the Saudi Arabia on the agenda.
