They said they saw at least ten members of Hamas force breaking into the house in al-Twam neighborhood in northern Gaza City, adding they saw them walking around in the yard’s house.

An urgent written statement issued by el-Ajrami’s office in Ramallah, sent to reporters, confirmed that Hamas executive forces in Gaza “stormed and seized the house of minister Ashraf el-Ajrami.”

El-Ajrami wasn’t at home when the Hamas security men stormed his house. He is currently in the West Bank city Ramallah and was nominated by Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on June 17 as the minister in Fayyad’s government formed after the president dissolved the former Hamas-led one.

Hamas, which is listed by Europe and the United States as a terrorist organization, took control of Gaza in mid June after defeating President Abbas’ security forces and his Fatah movement’s militants.
