M-Ji has completed a law degree with an honours at Universiti Islam Antarabangsa Malaysia. He received his degree at the 24th convocation in Gombak Sunday, the New Straits Times reported Monday.

Manjit and his brother, Sukhjit, also known as Surj, made history when they recorded the first local bhangra album “Loaded”, which was recognised by the Malaysia Book of Records recently.

Their father, Tan Sri Darshan Singh Gill, is a lawyer in Ipoh and is also president of the Malaysia National Sikhs Movement (Geraksikh).

Malaysia has a nearly 100,000-strong Sikh community that has done well in different fields from law and science to politics and education.
