Bush will head to the Middle East on Wednesday. His trip begins in Israel. From there, he will visit the West Bank, a number of Gulf States, Saudi Arabia and Egypt.

At a brief press conference Tuesday, Bush said it would be important “to lay out a vision in order for there to be a Palestinian state once road map obligations are met.”

Bush is hoping to build on a one-day meeting he organized in Annapolis, Maryland last year, where Israeli and Palestinian leaders agree to restart peace talks.

On Tuesday, Bush said the outlines of a Palestinian state should be “clearly defined.”
