Iran for Strong Ties with Arab States

Tehran : Iranian President Mahmud Ahmadineyad ratified on Monday that his country is willing to strengthening cooperation wit the member nations of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (CCASG).

In an official report, Ahmadineyad expressed the interest of Iran to enforce the agreements of the CCASG Summit and emphasized the reception of his proposals in that meeting held in Doha.

Iranian vice Foreign Minister Mohammad Reza Bagheri gave the text to the ambassadors of the six CCASG member nations.

In the document, the Persian president stressed the importance of increasing regional cooperation in all fields and the need of holding joint meetings among the members of the group, formed by Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, United Arab Emirates, Oman, Qatar and Bahrain.

The diplomats called the proposals important and beneficial for the Persian Gulf ó s population, security and peace, and highlighted the efforts of the countries of the region to develop cooperation relations with this Islamic Republic.

Meanwhile, the Iranian government called the tour of US President George W.Bush of the Levant as ostentation of power of a defeated and denied that his diatribes against Iran affects the Persian country s relations in the region.
