Arab League Warns on Israeli Blockade on Gaza

By Prensa Latina

Cairo : The secretary general of the Arab League, Amer Musa, confirmed on Monday that he will address the UN General Assembly if the Security Council fails to condemn the Israeli blockade on Gaza Strip.

In a statement to press, Musa said that the organization asked the Arab group at the Council to take action so that a resolution against the Israeli blockade can be adopted.

The Tel Aviv blockade imposed on that Palestinian region, controlled by Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, caused a fast deterioration of the quality of life of its residents.

The lack of food and possibilities of moving out of the Strip affect all the sectors of the society, said members of humanitarian organizations.

In a report, the Arab League holds the Israeli government responsible for the situation in Gaza Strip and urges Tel Aviv to immediately end with “its aggressive actions against civilians and the collective punishment.”
