15 elected to the Academic Council of AMU

Aligarh: Three Professors, five Readers and seven Lecturers have been elected as members of the Academic Council of the Aligarh Muslim University for a period of two years.

The Academic Council is the principal academic body of the university.

In the Professor’s category – Professor Mohd. Afzal (Department of Zoology),
Professor Mohd. Ashraf (Department of Mathematics) and Professor Rishi Pal
Singh (Department of Botany).

In the Reader’s category Dr. Najmul Islam (Department of Biochemistry-JNMC), Dr. Arshi Khan (Department of Political Science), Dr. Nemat Ali Khan (Department of Sociology and Social Works), Mr. Zamirullah Khan (Department of Physical Health and Sports Education) and Dr. Kamil Usmani (Department of Zoology) were elected.

Dr. Fazal-ur-Rahman (Department of Anatomy), Dr. G G Hammad Ahmad Shadab (Department of Zoology), Mr. Imtiaz Ahmad Khan (Department of Mechanical Engineering), Mr. M Farhan Fazli (University Polytechnic), Dr. Mohammad Saleem (Department of Sunni Theology), Mr. S Suhaib Hasan (Department of Statistics & Operations Research) and Dr. Shakeel Ahmad (Department of Law) were declared elected among the Lecturer’s category.

The results were declared by Professor Akhlaq Ahmad, Chief Election Officer.
