By News Agency of Kashmir,

The reason as mentioned by some aged as well as young people of the village Sharekhi village is electricity supply and ignorance by the PDD.

The people in this village comprising of about 150 families have to spend several dark nights after every month, the reason is PDD has installed just one 25 KV transformer which gets damaged after every month as it can not bear the load of 150 families.

Villager have decided that if their problem is not addressed before the date of polling they will tie ‘black threads’ as a mark of protest on the day of polling and will stay away from the election process.

The independent candidate contesting Assembly election from Bhaderwah constituency, Master (Retd.) Fazal Alam Wani during his tour of the said village has criticized the previous leaders for ignoring the villagers deliberately and focusing on city where their relatives and favorites live.

He has appealed the Governor N.N Vohra to direct the concerned authorities in this regard and help the villagers in solving their problem.

Master Fazal Alam Wani demanded installing of at least 3 more 25 KV transformers in the village so the problem can be solved once for all and the losses caused to the state exchequer due to the frequent damages of transformers could be avoided.
