Prof Syed Zahoor Qasim donates Rs 3 lac to AMU for scholarships

Aligarh: Noted scientist Professor Syed Zahoor Qasim today presented a cheque of Rs. three lakh to Vice Chancellor of Aligarh Muslim University, Prof. P. K. Abdul Azis for the award of scholarship and Gold Medal.

Prof. Qasim is an alumnus of AMU. While accepting the donation Prof. Azis termed at as a unique gesture on the part of Prof. Qasim.

The Scholarship and Gold Medal may be awarded from the next academic year to the student who secures highest marks in the final year exam of M. Sc. (Zoology), Dr. Rahat Abrar, Public Relations Officer, AMU, said.

Prof. S.Z. Qasim is a bright star in the galaxy of Indian muslims and Aligarians.
