AIMPLB to discuss Babri Masjid issue in Bhatkal meet today

Lucknow: An important meeting of All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) is being held today at Bhatkal in Karnataka. Besides 41 permanent members of the Board 15 Special Invitees are attending the meeting.

The core topic to come up for discussion in the meeting is Babri Masjid. According to Advocate Zafaryab Jeelani, member of AIMPLB and Convener of Babri Masjid Action Committee (BMAC), all preparations in this regard are complete”.

He accused the CBI of not following the case properly. “It is apparent that the CBI has lost interest in the case and hence is not following it in a proper manner,” he said. He also blamed the government for the delay. “The government also does not want the speedy disposal of the case”. Jeelani stated, “In the meeting of the Board we will put up a demand before the government for removing the iron barricades as well as for daily hearing of the various cases pertaining to the demolition of Babri Masjid”. He further said that for removing the iron barricaded Supreme Court would be approached. The next hearing of the case is scheduled for 9 February.
