Kuala Lumpur : The Indian High Commission here has opened a book for the public to offer condolences on the death of former Indian President R. Venkataraman.
He died Tuesday in New Delhi. He was 98.
Malaysia is home to over two million ethnic Indians, a bulk of them are Tamils who migrated here during the British era, The Star newspaper pointed out in its report Thursday.
Venkataraman was the eighth president of India from July 25, 1987 to July 25, 1992.
