Maulana Azad Foundation announces scholarship for minority girl students

By TwoCircles.net Staff Reporter,

Kochi: The Maulana Azad Education Foundation has invited applications for scholarships for meritorious girl students from the minority communities. The scholarship is given to meet the tuition fees, expenses for books, hostel fees etc. Only girl students of Muslim, Christian, Sikh and Buddhist communities are eligible for the scholarship.

Only those students whose parents’ annual income is below Rs 1 lakh need apply. The income certificate from the part of the parents, and not from the school, should be submitted along with the application form. The students should have obtained 55% marks in the 10th standard exam and secured seats in 11th standard or +1. The admission slip issued by the college/school authority where the student is presently studying should also be attached with the application form.

The scholarship amount is Rs 12000 and will be distributed in two equal installments of Rs 6000 each, for 11th and 12th standards. Students once selected for the scholarship will not be eligible for it again. The application form can be downloaded from the website of the Maulana Azad Foundation and its photocopies too can be used. There are no special application fees. The filled up application forms should reach the office of the foundation in New Delhi before August 31.

Scholarships for minority girl students

It should be extended to professional courses like Bachelor of Engineering where the average fees structure is about Rs.50,000 or more for tution fees, books and hostel fees per year. Minority girls who have obtained marks like 80% or above in XII std. and even if selected through couselling like institutions as Anna University in Tamilnadu
and got admission to join BE or B.Tech could not afford to pay this high fees every year. Therefore
genuine studens from poor families shouls be given scholarships for higher studies to uplift the minority people. Hundreds of girls in Tamilnadu are unable to pay the fees even after getting admission in Engineering colleges at present. Immediate steps should be taken by Moulana Azad Foundation to help these poor girl students.

hi sir,

hi sir,
assalamu alaikum,
HAVE U TAKEN ANY STEPS TO UPGRADE THE SCHOOL TO HIGHER SEC LEVEL?

Moulana Azad Foundation Scholarship for Minority Girl students

It is regrettable that Scholarship awarded in the name of the First Education Minister of free India:
1)is restricted to students of X,XI and XII standard students only;
2)the parent's annual income fixed as "below Rs. one lakh" is antideluvian.It should be refixed as not aboveRs. 1,50,000 per annum; and
3) it should be extended to students of professional course of I and II years.
