Muslims to get reservation in Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation election

Hyderabad: Of the 150 seats of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), 92 have been reserved for different categories and only 58 will be in the general categories on which every body will be able to contest.
50 seats have been reserved for the backward classes, four percent of which will be for the backward groups of Muslim community. In these 50 seats, 17 will be exclusive for women. 12 seats have been reserved for the scheduled castes and two for the scheduled tribes.
Even in the 58 seats of general category, 28 have been reserved for women. Thus in all 50 seats will be reserved for women in different categories. However the final notification of the reservation of seats will be issued on July 6 and the opposition parties will be given an opportunity to file their objections.
Meanwhile the move to reserve a few seats for the backward Muslim groups among the BC reserved seats has triggered off a controversy with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) protesting against it. A BJP delegation met the governor N D Tiwari and submitted a memorandum opposing reservation of any seats for Muslims. “This will be injustice with the BCs whose benefit will be taken away by the Muslims”, the memorandum said.
The BJP leaders pointed out that the Muslim reservations act was only meant for giving 4% reservations to the community in government jobs and education and not in the political bodies. Even that act was challenged in the court and the verdict of the High Court was reserved.
The AP Backward Classes Welfare Association had also opposed reserving seats for Muslims out of the 33% quota of BCs saying it will be an injustice with the other backward classes. “Let the government first increase the total number of seats for the BCs and then give a share to the Muslim community”.
This is first time the backward groups of Muslims are being provided political reservation by the state government after they were brought in to the BC (E) category in accordance with the AP Reservation in Favor of Socially and Economically Backward of Muslims act 2007. This act identifies 14 groups of Muslims. The constituencies where the population of backward Muslims is high will be reserved for them.
The erstwhile Municipal Corporation of Hyderabad has traditionally been dominated by the Muslim political party Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM). The MIM has ruled the civic body on its own or with the help of another major party including Congress and TDP at different times. But after the system of direct election of city Mayor was introduced by the Telugu Desam government, the MIM could not win the post and it was occupied by the TDP in the last elections.
But now that the merger of surrounding seven municipalities and rural areas have been merged in to the MCH to create 150 member Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation, the demographic map of the state has changed and MIM is unlikely to get a majority on its own.
This time there will be no direct election for Mayor but he or she would be elected by the elected corporators, MLAs and MPs. The post has also not been reserved for any caste and it was in general category.
There are speculations that the Congress and MIM will have an understanding in the GHMC polls to be polled after Ramadan. The post of Mayor and Deputy Mayor is likely to be shared by the two parties on the circulation basis.
GHMC is the fifth biggest civic body in the country and its budget has crossed Rs 2000 crore.

Indian economy was run by Petrol (sold at reduced prices, cuz Nehru and Indira Gandhi took it for discounted prices from Iraq and Saudi Arabia and Dubai.. saying... we are brothers... Yasser Arafaat Indira Gandhi brother-sister equation, remember. Indira used her charm to benefit India to the tune of 500 billion dollars of oil !). So India (90%) is running on Muslim money... Venkateshwara Hundi is just peanuts... or 4 annas... compared to the money muslims are contributing in running India Inc.

Assuming that you have undergone something similar to "education" and the statements you make here are a reflection of that education, the Rabid Hindus should be celebrating now
They really don't have to oppress the muslims, as the education you have got (in case your name Balachander is supposed to show that you are a Hindu, it still does not matter, you are still the SAMPLE of Enlightenment) will be much more successful in achieving the aims you and your oppressed friends have ascribed to them.

I am really lost as to where should I start. Nevertheless let me try and explain concepts like "numbers" and then economics.

Ever Heard anything like Fiscal Deficit? India sold it cheap domestically at the cost of fiscal deficit.
Now : Discounts by brotherly Muslim countries? Right Again. Only a small clarification though : in this case Discount is actually called Premium - "ASIAN OIL PREMIUM" which has seen highs of $6 per barrel and rarely dropped below $1!
To your sheer disappointment the Asian countries including India actually buy GULF crude at a HIGHER rate vis-a-vis the western countries.
And as one of the major and fast growing buyer of crude oil, it is India which is one of the major sources of financing these brotherly Muslim countries. India is Saudi Arabia's largest customer. The gulf countries have now begun to realize that their future will depend upon countries like India and China and that is why they are now courting them. As a result, the Asian Oil Premium has been going down and for 2-3 months in 2008 it turned negative.
So as with most of your assertions the reality is just the reverse!
Your claims on Remittances by Muslims from GULf countries is another delusion of your "EDUCATED" mind. Till 1990-91, total remittances into India were a STAGGERRING SUM of about USD 2 BILLION ! The remittances started growing in late 9O's and reached very high levels by 2003-2004 and this was largely caused by Indian IT professionals moving to US. Total remittances in early part of this decade were of the order to US$ 20 - 22 billion but 45 percent of this came from North America. The share of Gulf was about 25 percent I.e. Approx US$ 5-5.5 billion . Another STAGGERING CONTRIBUTION ? Right
Moreover, a fairly large no. of Indians working in gulf are Christians (mainly from Kerala) and Hindus especially, those who are in better paying jobs. Just one example from where I worked in a European company in Dubai. 75 percent of managerial employees were european, and remaining Indian Hindus, including the Heads of Finance and Business Dev. Muslim Indians were either Administrative Assets or peons or secretaries! All the Indian origin senior bankers I met there were HIndu, some christians and One Muslim who was actually working in Saudi Bank. Sub continental Muslims you will find amongst the Dubai bankers were mostly Pakistanis and last I checked their remittances were not flowing into India!
So there you are. Please continue on the same path, a BRIGHT FUTURE awaits you

The SWISS BANKS accept even "blood money"- NOT corruption money alone BUT even money paid to gangsters to kill people and that money is pumped into India for spreading Christianity while Gulf Arabic money is being pumped in through "Islamic Terrorist" to breakup India. So why this fixation about "corruption money at Thirupathi". Any way the money is generated from HINDU pilgrims- so AP Govt has no right to take it away unless they take away money from Church and Mosque also. Now about "Muslim Money from GULF"- till 1980's Gulf offered jobs to Indians irrespective of religion. From 80s The ISLAMIC GULF started giving job to only Indian Muslims at the instigation of MUSLIMs. The money is coming back to India because Indian Muslims are NOT allowed to buy property in GULF. So the Muslims are doing no favour to India by sending money back to India- it's because they have NO choice. India will NOT suffer if they keep the money in GULF.
BUT if MUSLIMs are sending so much money to India, as you claim, how is it that the Indian Muslims claim that they are poorer than ST and are demanding SACHHAR. They should be the richest community, especially since IT is NOT deducted from money coming from GULF. Evidently you statistics on MUSLIM Money from gulf is incorrect. LIES, DAMN LIES and STATISTICS ------
