Kerala Congress blames state government for police firing on Muslim fishing community

Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala state Congress party has blamed the state Left Front government’s Home Department for the death of six persons from the Muslim fishing community in violence and police firing at Cheriathura on May 17.
Ramesh Chennithala, president Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee, alleged that the state Home Department had been trying to protect the officials responsible for the police action at Cheriathura. He demanded that the policemen responsible for the firing should be charged with murder.
He also said the failure of the police to take an anti-social element into custody in time had resulted in the build-up of tension and the clash. Higher police officials did not go to the spot or take steps to control the situation, he alleged.
Chennithala demanded the state government to increase the assistance to the families of the dead to Rs.15 lakh. The state government has announced the assistance of Rs 10 each to the family of the dead.

Thiruvananthapuram, Saturday 27 June 2009: Thiruvananthapuram Chief Judicial Magistrate MM Basheer ordered raid at the residences of Home Minister Kodiyeri Balakrishnan and DGP Jacob Punnoose yesterday to find the intelligence evidences of the Cheriyathura police firing case. In the wake of this court order, police will raid the houses of Kodiyeri Balakrishnan at Vazhuthakad and DGP Jacob Ponnoose residence located at Kudappanakunnu.
The Beemapalli police firing which took the lives of six people had led to heated debate in the Assembly on Thursday.
Six people were killed and several others severely injured in the police firing that took place on 17th May. There were some clashes between the people of Beemapalli and Cheriyathura in the coastal area of Thiruvananthapuram mainly because of the acts of some goons in the area. The police took no action to control the goons. When the clashes increased on 17th, the police indiscriminately fired at the people, killing six. After strong protests from Muslim organizations and some human rights activists, the government has ordered for a judicial inquiry into the matter. The government also gave compensation of Rs.10 lakh each for the families of those killed. It has announced that Rs.22 lakh more will be distributed to the victims of the police firing and clashes.
All major Muslim organizations united in this matter of grave concern and formed an umbrella body to struggle to achieve justice for the victims. The organizations also took great attention not to allow the incident to grow into communal violence.

Anti- Muslim media and police tried their best to propogate that what happened was due to a communal clash.But enquiries by neutral bodies proved that it was not a communal riot,but a one sided police firing on innocent human biengs.
Who is responsible?.Definitely it is the government who is responsible.CPIM is the party who lead the government.So the party is also responsible.
The shocking thing was the response of Keralites to the firing.Utter indifference was the response.Usually loss of a single life in police firing will produce much political outrage and violence in Kerala.But this time nothing happened.Media was silent about the deaths.They not only tried to make the news unimportant but also propogated that the victims were deserving such a firing.Some news papers even tried to establish a connection between Bin Laden and the uneducated fishermen.
The media in Kerala is very much against CPIM and its government.Because CPIM is against the interests of Nair-Christian lobby.Mathrbhumi daily is having a Nair- upper caste Hindu interest.Malayala Manorama is led by Christian interests.Asianet news channel is pro-Hindutwa and anti-Muslim and anti-Communist.Any issue which damage the left government will be made a propoganda by this media.But this time nothing happened.No one criticized the government.Media was fully supporting the government.
The psyche of Kerala is changed much during last elections.Continuous campaigns against Muslims by the media and UDF leaders made a very anti-Muslim atmosphere in Kerala.All Muslims are terrorists.So they deserve some oppression.This is the thought of average Keralite. That is why such a silent support of killings of innocent Muslims.Why this happened?.Due to terrorist attacks in Kerala?. Never.Due to anti-Muslim campaign of RSS?.Never.
Anti-Muslim stand of RSS is open.So it is bearable and predictable.But the hatred of so called secular politicians and media is unbearable.

It is Muslim League leaders who started the terrorism campaign for some silly gains.Muslim League publicly preached that the present election is between secularism and Islamic terrorism.They manufactured an atmosphere of fear.They propogated that most of Muslims are attracted to terrorism and there is a unholy alliance between the Muslim terrorists and the leftist parties.Media cried that League is getting isolated in Muslim community due to their moderate stand.League was trying to get respect by cheating their fellow Muslims.Actually the moderate stand of League is a mask.PFI, the organization which is known as Muslim-RSS was supporting League and Congress in the elections, but the media was silent on this issue.The media was afraid that The Communist-Muslim alliance will become a new force and it will protect the Muslim interests.
Oommen Chandy with Christian intersts and Ramesh Chennithala with Nair intersets in Congress with the help of Manorama and Mathrubhumi manufactured anti Muslim opinion.They supported League campaign because only through League they can sedate Muslim community and protect their interests without any threat from Muslim community.
WHATEVER MAY BE THE ANALYSIS , ANY FIRING OR ANY KILLING ON MUSLIMS IN KERALA WILL NOT AROUSE ANY KIND OF PROTEST IN FUTURE.LEAGUE,CONGRESS AND THE MEDIA IS SUCCESSFUL IN BRANDING MUSLIMS AS TERRORISTS.

Spreading of hate against Muslims in parliament elections in Kerala by Nair-Christian axis by using Manorama and Mathrubhumi with the help of Muslim League was very effective.The fruits of the hate-campaign are;
1.Nairs got 7 seats and Christians got 6 seats.Muslims got only 3 seats.The percentage in population is; Nair-12% , Christian-19% and Muslim-27%.
2.Beemapalli shooting on Muslims: There was no protest against the killings.The reason is the effect of the hate-campaign.People think that there are many terrorists in Muslim community due to the hate-campaign.So people do not give much interest in killing of Muslims.
Paul Zakariya, a well known writer in Malayalam stated about the hate campaign of media against Muslims during elections:During elections a tap got on spontaneously through which waste water started to flow.After elections the tap got off spontaneously.
M K Muneer, a Muslim League leader appears in the front cover of Mathrubhumi weekly asking in bold letters: Left got Muslim votes.But what is the result?.
Add the CPM too in the list
You could have included the CPIM too at least as the last in the list of culprits, especially since you have admitted.

Moreover it is not correct to link the media with specific community interests in this matter. I can show you that our own communist Madhyamam have tried to justify the government in this matter by downplaying the incident. I am afraid that had it not been for Manorama and Mathrubhumi they would have even not reported the incident. In fact it was Manorama who gave a more poignant report of the incident, despite that the other side of the rioters was Christian. (I have not read Mathrubhumi). Moreover Asianet has given it enough coverage for a secular medium and has not tried to justify the government at all.

This is not a time for blind party spirit.At least now you should recognize the dangerous atmosphere in Kerala created by League campaign.At least now you be ready to repent.
In the line of Manorama and the Police, you are also trying to portray the Bimapalli incident as a communal clash between Muslims and Christians.But neutral bodies like PUCL have definitely proven that the incident was not communal clash but a one sided police firing.Muslim news papers like Siraj, Madhyamam and Thejus have given the details.To know the truth, please ready to read them also, beside Manorama.
Why Muslim League is not much bothered about the incident?.Previously League has argued that if someone killed in Gazza, there is no point in making noise in Kerala.Do you believe that when someone killed in South Kerala there is no point in making noise in North Kerala?.
You should recognize the faults with you.We will be happy if you are starting a counter propoganda that the Keralite Muslims are not terrorists.I humbly request you to approach the leaders and make them aware about the damage caused to Muslims due to their hate campaign.
Or do you honestly believe Muslims and Muslim organizations are terrorists simply due to their support of the left?.Do you believe Kanthapuram Musliar and his organization is terrorists?.Most of the league leaders have visited their centre,Markaz.E.Ahmad has even recently visited and inaugurated an advanced learning centre in Markaz.In this elections, Chennithala has approached them for support.Then, when they bacame terrorists?.
Do you believe INL is terrorist party.They were part of you till some years back.Sulaiman Sait was your leader before forming INL.
Do you believe JIH as terrorists?.In this election they supported E.T.Mohammed Bashir of Muslim League.Their leaders and your leaders share the common platforms.Ramesh Chennithala has visited them and requested supportin this election.So when they became terrorists?.
Do you believe Madavoor group of KNM is terrorists?.Many of their workers are members of League too.
Do you beleive PDP of Madani is terrorists?.All allegations against him were proved to be wrong by the court itself.You have got his support previously.Even Oommen Chandy has visited him in Coimbatore jail for election support.Even before trial, his support was needed.But when he is declared innocent, you allege him as terrorist just because his support is to left.
The only Muslim organization with some violent behaviour is PFI, former NDF , who always support you.
We Muslims are not afraid.We are afraid of no one except Allah.But we consider League also part of the community.We have only sympathy with you.You should correct your behaviour.If you are ready to think, you will definitely admit that your campaign against Muslims has made damage.
We are not against any caste or community.Why our comments about Nair and upper caste Christians is due to their gain which is more than their due and is at the cost of Muslims.Uequal share will cause social disharmony and it is against the spirit of democracy.
At last I request all of the neutral readers to come forward for consoling the affected in Beemapally and to punish the culprits.
Police Firing in Kerala
Anonymous wrote in detail, but fruitless. Is that terrorists or this terrorists, is the main question. No one is terrorists, untill proved. There are no proven terrorists in Kerala. The notorious leader Madani spent 9 years in jail without any evidence against him. Pinnarayi Vijayan carries bullets in his bag and once captured, but didn't find gun. P Karunakaran MP has criminal background and has some criminal cases against him.
All these leaders are criminals and not terrorists. Kanthapuram also has some criminal back ground, but not proved clearly.
Now come to the focal point. Beemapally incident is deplorable and the CPM Police is the culprits. That CPM is supported by INL, PDP, JIH, Kanthapuram and others. In other words these gang has a link to CPM and the Shoot out in Beemapally.
Now court has ordered to take case against 4 policemen for murder. But the case alos has to be charged against DGP, Home Minister.
INL, PDP, JIH, Kanthapuam are not saying a single word against the Kodiyeri Police's killings. The murdered are poor Muslims. All these parties have no interest in Muslims, but trying to take mileage from the incident.
Mr. Anonymous, have you done your duty? Have you wrote to the Governor and the High Court to take action against the criminals? Have you demanded the sacking of Home Minister? In the early times if one fellow is murdered by the police, police minister should resign. Now six persons killed and scores of others are in critical condition. Home minister is free to do anything in this land. Are you ready to protest against the criminal Home minister. I spit on his face. He is the criminal number one in this incident.
He is another Modi. Modi killed around 2000 Indians and Kodiyeri killed 6. Modi used his men and Kodiyeri used state's forces. So Kodiyeri is a big criminal than Modi.
Still INL, PDP, JIH like fanatic parties are supporting CPM for the killings of Muslims. Don't you feel shame?

those communities with influence on media survive, others may get perish in this era.
The Muslim community of India should seriously think of an alternate strategy for political empowerment.Congress will cheat us again and again.CPM is also not a fully dependable party.
Now it is the time,Keralite Muslims go to people raising voice for the victims of Beemapalli incident because the people are slowly recognicing the fact and are now sympathetic to the affected illiterate Muslim fishermen.
