The blast occurred in the back of the Madarsa building. The intensity of the blast destroyed one hostel room and damaged several others including the administrative office of the madrasa.

There are 65 students and 6 teachers in Madarsa. It has 10 rooms.

Since the blast happened just minutes after Isha (night) prayer therefore no one was in that area and hence there was death or injury to anyone.

Talking to TwoCircles.net Maulana Naushad Ahmad, Nazim-e- Talimat (Education Director) of Madarsa Isha’t -ul- Uloom said, “The blast was so heavy that it felt like an earthquake. It impact was felt in around two kilometer.”

He said that the area where blast took place is isolated. People hardly go there because it is backside of building. Therefore, someone could have placed the bombs there, undetected.

He also informed that it is first time when such incident happened in this city which is matter of concern. There was no communal tension in the area of any threat to the madarasa.

However, situation is normal. Police has reached at spot and investigating the case.
