SDPI to contest Kerala Assembly by-elections

Kochi: “We are hopeful of winning,” said P Abdul Majeed Faisy, state general secretary of the Social Democratic Party of India. Mr Faisy was responding to the TwoCircles.net about having been selected as the candidate of the SDPI to contest in the upcoming by-elections to the Kerala Assembly from the Kannur constituency (in Malabar).
“We have our hopes in the people who are fed up with testing the Left Democratic Front and the United Democratic Front alternatively. People want peace and justice. We hope they will understand and vote for us when we go to them with our ideas and campaign,” said a confident Faisy.
Mr Faisy hails from Manjeri in Malappuram district. He has served as the state general secretary of the National Development Front (2001-02) and the Popular Front of India (2007-08). He was again elected the general secretary of the PFI but had to leave office as he was made the state general secretary of the SDPI. He presently holds the posts of Editor in the ‘Thejas’ magazine and member of the Director Board in the ‘Thejas’ daily.
The SDPI is also reportedly considering of fielding its candidate in Alappuzha. The final decision will be taken in the meeting to be held tonight, tomorrow being the last day to file nominations. Elections are being held to Kannur, Alappuzha and Ernakulam constituencies, where the sitting MLAs had contested and won elections to the Parliament.
The decision to contest in elections has come barely three months after the official formation of the party. However, the party leaders as well as cadres are confident that they won’t have any lack of experience in election campaigning as it had campaigned well in the last general elections.

Do We Need the SDPI?
I think it is a mistake to have a Muslim-centric or OBC-centric party such as the SDPI. On the contrary we must fight the existence of Hindu-centric or caste-centric parties such as the BJP, SP and SDP. In a secular India there is no place for either the BJP or the SDPI. Only secular parties, be they centrists, leftists or rightists, should be recognised by the Election Commision. People belonging to any religion or any caste should be comfortable in such parties.

Communal parties like SDPI will only help disintegration of the country. This party will be like Madani's PDP in the near future.

It is a left over from SIMI, NDF, PDF.. There is nothing democratic or socialist about it. It is a group of extreme Muslim fanatics. it originated in kerala (that has seen a lot of muslim terrorists recently who got trained in Pakistan, with T Nazir arrested and Madni under investigation), because some Muslim fanatics of the Wahabi/Salafi persuation felty that Muslim league party(of the Railways Minister E Ahmed) is not sufficiently "Muslim" and was falling to certain secular ebeliefs like women's education.
They get money from Saudi Arabia; they have organized killings, and will lead Muslims into a situation like Pakistan where extremist Muslims will start killing moderate Muslims.

I fail to understand why twocirclesnet is giving such importance to this new party. Any one with commonsense can understand that SDPI has no future in Kerala or in any other state. This new party will only help to raise communal feelings in moderate Hindus and thereby strengthen Sangh Parivar organizations.
Those who join this party is actually fanatics. There was a similar situation at the beginning of ISI and PDP. Too many Muslims youth joined them and we know what they got now. What advantage this organization/party brought to Muslim community. Nothing. It only helped some moderate Hindus to think in favour of BJP/RSS.
If these people are so concerned about the conditions of Muslims let them first work for educational upliftment of the Muslim community and support them for job opportunities to the unemployed Muslim youth.

SDPI will change the face of Kannur after this election
I am very impressed their works. The newly build political organisation, they are working as a 1000 of years of political experience. It is marvelous. Onething, I am sure that both Communist/Congress votes will drop. And Dalits/Christians/Muslims and other minorities will vote for SDPI. Need to stop the Communist communalism in Kannur. As my knowledge Communist communalist killed 4 more Muslims in Kannur recently. And now they started to hunt Dalits in kerala with the help of highly motivated Hindutwa terrorist organisations like VHP,RSS,BJP,BAJRANGDAL,SRIRAMASENA etc., Also Congress is silent about the newly sangparivar contradiction word "love - Jihad". Why congress and communist silent, because they will lost Hindu votes. Need to stop the gundaism and criminalisms of Communism/Hindutwa Fasicsm and Congress's silence. So all humanity people in kannur will elect Faizy, an innocent figure man.

SDPI will lose their deposit in Kerala By-elections
SDPI will not poll more than 2-3% Votes in any constituency in Kerala and will lose their deposit in Kerala By-elections in every constituency. Any one willing to bet on it!!!!!
SDPI'S Result
I think a member of SDPI, will never feel bad if result is bad. Because our object is the presents of the Dalits, Muslims and back ward community. It will take to convieniance to all community. If we got 2percentage, Gradually we can achieve our goal and we will go head with more hopes.

SDPI got just 3411 votes out of the total polled vote of 1,05,924 in Kannur. That is just 3.22% votes and so lost their security deposit as they couldn't poll even 5% votes. Warned You- Didn't I.

SDPI well done in the election, in the intial stage they got 3400 votes. it is not a small thing. I am appreciating SDPI for taking sudden steps to declare political party and joining in the election. Please dont redicule the people in hard and bad way. try to be patient (islamic way) and keep hormony with other organizations. Extreamism is not a an alternative.
I hope JIH can do much better in politics, they have good experience and wide network all over India & having excellent relationship with others
