Illegal workers on business visa asked to leave India by Oct 31

By IANS,

New Delhi: The home ministry has said that all foreign nationals who have entered the country on a business visa and are illegally working will have to leave India by Oct 31.

This was stated by the ministry in a detailed response to 'Frequently Asked Questions' posted on its website. The document was made after the ministry received a number of queries for clarification on the visa regime.

The home ministry is holding consultations with the external affairs ministry to streamline the visa regime, after it found that a large number of Chinese nationals were working here despite entering on business visas.
