Congress protests power, water shortage in Jharkhand

Ranchi: Congress workers Monday demonstrated in front of Jharkhand Governor M.O.H. Farook’s residence here to protest power and water scarcity in the state.

“The power scenario is horrible as the state capital is witnessing 8-10 hours of load shedding every day. The people are thirsty as drinking water is not available and the poor are the worst affected,” said Pradeep Balmuchu, Congress state president.

“We have requested the governor to direct the state government to improve the power scenario and ensure drinking water to all citizens of the state.”

Monday morning several hundred Congress workers, led by Balmuchu, former central minister, demonstrated in front of Governor House.
