Muslims should completely oppose terrorism: Last SIMI president

Interview of Dr. Shahid Badr Falahi, Ex SIMI president by Abu Zafar Adil Azmi, first published in Urdu monthly Afkar-e-Milli.
Question: it has been eight years since the ban on SIMI. What is your thinking now?
Answer: We have no option except legal fight. We are fighting this battle with complete attention. People who believe in justice know what has been happening with us in these eight years.

Question: SIMI is charged with being involved in illegal activities?
Answer: All of our activities have come to standstill since last eight years. The talk of illegal activities is false; we are only fighting legal battle. When ban is imposed we defend ourselves in tribunal. Then matter comes to Supreme Court. Here new ban is imposed before taking the matter under consideration.
Question: It is said about SIMI that it does not believe in Indian constitution.
Answer: It is unfortunate that this question is raised before those who have been stricken by ban and battling against it. This question could be justified if we do not go to Judiciary and continued our activities. This question should be raised before those who do not go to legally fight the ban on them.
Question: SIMI talked about Khilafat in India.
Answer: We have talked about Khilafat on the path of Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W). Gandhiji also said that if he got a chance, he would bring system of governing like Umar and Abu Bakr in which there was accountability and justice. We believe in molding thought not by force and compulsion. If someone talks about Ram Raj, another about bringing communism in the country then they are acceptable but we are considered criminals.
Question: What is your stand on terrorism?
Answer: The murder of an innocent person is a slaying of whole human kind whether he belongs to any caste or any region and any country. Muslims should oppose it completely whether it were personal level or regional level.
Question: Last year many blasts shook the several parts of the country and SIMI has been accused of involving in those blasts.
Answer: The question is that who benefited from that and who bore the sufferings of those blasts. It should be analyzed. I have already stated that hand was indigenous and mind was foreigner.
Question: The communal hatred in the country is a grave issue. What do you think about it?
Answer: We are supporters of inter-community love and compassion. Whenever ban is lifted we will work for that. We were against anti-humanitarian policies and we adopted the method of preaching not a method of force and compulsion. We believe that all are sons of Adam. There should be no violence and hostility in the name of black and white, poor and rich.

Reading all the comments and articles here, it is quite obvious to me that Indian muslims are anti-hindu and anti-India. There is no reason for such people to live in India. Go to Pakistan. You will be happier in Pakistan. No hindus, no kafeers there...

Nobody is anti-Hindu, Mr. Ranger. With your own CORRUPT thinking you are trying to deduce your own conclusions.
Even a normal Pakistani loves India, Indian movies, Indian art, Indian music, and even Indian film and sports-stars.
It is only the politicians on either side of Ratcliff line, who are sowing seeds of hatred, just to rule over us.
And now, India is trying to divide the states, into sub-states - just to rule; more CMs, more ministers, more money for politicians. Do you think a common Indian is benefiting in any way, after formation of new states???
Analyze and finalize your own conclusion. But never consider someone is anti-national, or anti-Hindu. If you find anyone in person, us actually anti-national, try to correct him / her.
As long as Hindu-religion is hijacked by Hindutwadis / Sangh Parivar and misused / abused, and Hindus remain "silent spectators" and/or "supporters", then DON'T EXPECT other Indians, to remain SILENT.
First it was dalits / adivasis, then Muslims, then Christians, and now it is the turn of Hindus.
Have you not heard about the "silent" elimination of our HONEST HERO - ATS Chief Hemant Karkare, and his two colleagues during the Mumbai 26/11, 72-hour live TV episode.
When other's blood was not enough, Hindutwadis have turned towards Hindus. The recent premature bomb-blasts in Goa, just before 2009 Deepavali celebrations, must be an eye-opener for all Indians - especially Hindus.
For God's sake, (in whichever form / name you believe) take out your venom, think impartially, and think about NATIONAL INTEGRATION - and how to keep India intact !!!

And FYI (for your info) there is "no record" of any communal RIOTS in Pakistan; and Indian politicians, can learn from them.

It has been oft repeated in the Holy Quran that Allah is the Sovereign Omnipotent,who has power over all things.( Malikim muqtadir))He does not look to anyone to help Him in establishing His sovereignity ! If he wants to create a thing , it is sufficient for Him to say 'kun' ( get created) .Pat! its there !( Kun faya kun) ! That is how he created the wonderful universe, the first Man(Adam(and and the Wonder Child[Essa (Jesus)].
On the other hand,"man was created weak!"(khuliqal insaanuzayeefan")! How, then, man or a group of men could claim that" they are striving to establish Allah's sovereignty on earth!"It is an audacious claim and quite sacrilegious too!He has NOT asked man to do so. He has created men and Jinns only to worship Him!Worship in Islam is not only observing five times a day compulsory prayers (namaz),or giving alms or fasting during Ramadan or performing Haj once in his / her lifetime!
Further, one does not become a :Muslim" by virtue of his birth in a Muslim family or by publicly declaring his "belief'' in the one and only Allah as worthy of worship! Also he should affirm that Muhammed (Sallallahuwa alaihiwa sallam) as His Messenger, who conveyed Allah's stipulations encompassing all aspects a Muslim's life and set example to lead a true Muslim's life by his practices.Thus,the conviction of the "oneness of God" should permeate one's personality and he/ she should never equate anybody or anything as coequal with God.And he should follow what Allah has declared as "right"and avoid what has been declared as "wrong"or "Evil"
The distinguishing features of Islam are:
Worship of one and only Allah; charity.: fasting; adherence to Truth; Patience and Perseverance;doing good deed as well as exhorting others also to do so and not only avoid evil but also prevent others from doing so.The head of the family is enjoined to save himself and his kith from the devastating fire of hell!
At every moment in life he has to stick to the middle way only and avoid the extremes.
The early Muslims not only believed those tenets but also did righteous deeds. So they were made receipents of unfailing rewards! In juxtaposition to them, a large proportion of the present generation uses its faculties in a pervert manner and disregard Allah's Laws! Consequent to that they have been abased to be the "lowest of the low"!
ALLAH'S SOVEREIGNTY ON EARTH
Mr./Mrs/or Miss Anonymous, you have clearly understood the meaning and concept of "ALLAH'S SOVEREIGNTY ON EARTH". When the SIMI sought to estsblish that, it did not mean that it planned to bring down the Governments run by non-Muslims and make Muslims rule in place of non-Muslims. What SIMI strove was to make non-Muslms understand Islam because once non-Muslims understand Islam properly, they will not hesitate to embrace Islam. Thus, if more and more non-Muslims drift far away from JAHILIYAH and enter the arena of NOOR, the SUPREMACY & SOVEREIGNTY of Allah gets automatically established. Enemies of SIMI who are also enemies of ISLAM and MUSLIMS mischievously started the false, baseless, mischievous, pernicious etc., etc., propoganda that the Muslim social welfare organisation is trying to instigating Muslims to REVOLT against the established Governments in the land. NOTHING CAN BE FURTHER FROM TRUTH. Another thing will led to the downfall of SIMI and hastened its fall is the opposition by a few sections of our own community. The house was gutted by its own houselamp, so to say. What is past is past, Now it is high time to commence a POWERFUL AND UNITED MOVEMENT TO CLAMOUR FOR THE LIFTING OF THE BAN. PASHA understand what anonymous is stating. Anonymous just stated that if ALLAH wants all people on EARTH to be Muslims it can be achieved in matter of seconds FOR HE IS ALL POWERFUL. Evidently ALLAH does NOT want that. If that be so who are US, ORDINARY HUMANS, to try and convert non-Muslims to ISLAM???
ALLAH controls everything in world. So just pray to him and leave everything to him. Inshaallah, we will get the fruits of our devotion if not in this life, in heaven.

Dear brother,
As you have rightfully said "Inshaallah, we will get the fruits of our devotion if not in this life, in heaven", but we should not be so narrow-minded so as not to let others share from the fruits of belief and righteous deeds.
Allah Swt has indeed majesty over everything and everything is under His control- however, it is a clear Islamic belief that this life is a trial:
"So whosoever does good equal to the weight of an atom, shall see it.
And whosoever does evil equal to the weight of an atom, shall see it." (Qur'an 99:7-8)
Thus, when Allah (Swt) has given us freedom of choice to do good in this world, why should we not make use of this opportunity in an open-hearted manner by inviting people to the good, which as Mr. Pasha has rightfully pointed out, will result in the proverbial kingdom of God here in earth as on heaven.
Of course, it is another matter altogether if you do not consider as 'good' what you believe in or what you do!
Times of India's mischeif should bot go un-noticed

The ban on SIM has been extended for another two years. The tribunal which decides the justification has been allowed to be toothless and the GoI used the SC to continue the ban without any valid reason.
In today's Time of India, a news item by TNN and Agencies writes about the formation of SIM in 1977 as the student wing of "terror outfit Jamaat Islami-e-Hind". Times of India has been at the mischief whenever anything Muslim and Islamic came to be reported. The Azamgarh fallout is one of the many manefestations of Facism of State of India. No sane Indian bothers to verify the veracities of who actually is the culprit. In the same news item, the ToI did not talk about the purging of SIM relations from JIH or the formation of SIO, while if went on talking about involvement of Shahzad being involved in Dehli and Malegaon blasts. We all know well who were behind the Malegaon blasts. The facist exclusionist agencies who have cultivated the agencies purging them of any Muslim presence among them are bending all the 'rules' which they foolishly claim suit India. While India is sure to implode due to this State terrorism because the terrorising of Muslims will not deter the determined to take on the State despite loss to majority towns or harsassment to their families/interests.
By clubing the Jang of Pakistan and Times of India, the people have allowed an avoved anti-Muslim/Islam media house to make itself humane while not changing a line of its code. It remains as colonial as it has been since its inception.
LIFTING OF BAN ON SIMI
ONE WAY TO HOODWINK THE LAW FOR THE SIMI CADRES IS TO FORM A NEW ORGANISATION AND FUNCTION IN THE SAME OLD WAY THRO' IT, AS A SORT OF "OLD WINE IN A NEW BOTTLE " SO TO SAY. BUT SUCH AN ACTION IS TANTAMOUNT TO CHEATING AND CHEATING IS AN UN-ISLAMIC ACT. HENCE, SIMI CADRES HAVE NOT DONE IT AND WILl, I AM CERTAIN, NOT RESORT TO SUCH DIRTY TRICKS. MY HUMBLE & SINCERE APPEAL TO SIMI CADRES -WHEREVER YOU ARE AND WHATEVER YOU ARE NOW - PLEASE DO NOT FORGET YOUR DUTY TOWARDS THE ORGANISATION WHICH SHAPED YOUR VIEWS. JOIN IN SOME WAY OR THE OTHER IN THE JUST, LEGITIMATE AND NON-VIOLENT STRUGGLE TO GET THE BAN LIFTED. STRENGHTEN THE HANDS OF THE GALLANT FIGHTERS WHO ARE CHAMPIONING THE RIGHT CAUSE. EXTEND YOUR SUPPORT - AT LEAST MORAL SUPPORT - AND THE BAREST MININUM SUPPORT CAN BE BY LIFTING UP YOUR HANDS AND IMPLORING ALLAH TO HELP THE HELPLESS.
REMEMBER IF YOU DO GOOD EVEN IF IT BE OF THE WEIGHT OF AN ATOM, YOU WILL OBTAIN DUE REWARD AND THE REWARD WILL BE BEYOND YOUR EXPECTATIONS.
IN CONCLUSION MY APPEAL IS; PLEASE CONSIDER MY APPEAL DISPASSIONATELY AND PASS ON THE APPAL TO AS MANY AS YOU CAN AND AS FAST AS YOU CAN

SIMI STROVE TO ESTABLISH ALLAH'S SOVEREIGNTY ON EARTH, IS THIS NOT AN EQUIVALENT TO THE AMBITION OF HINDUS TO ESTABLISH RAM'S RAJ ON EARTH? THE SOVEREIGNTY OF THE SUPREME LORD AND CREATOR OF EVERYTHING SHOULD BE ESTABLISHED IS THE AIM AND THE GOAL OF BOTH MUSLIMS AND HINDUS.
