Shariath Protection Council mulling legal action against Chidambaram

Chennai: In a latest development showing that the pressure is being mounted against Home Minister P. Chidambaram to withdraw his objectionable statement on Jihad, Tamilnadu’s Shariath Protection Council is considering to take a civil or criminal action against the minister.
Shariath Protection Council has written a letter to the Union Minister urging him to clarify his position on the media reports about his statement equating Jihad with terrorism and describing it as a war against unbelievers. The Council has termed the minister’s statement on Jihad as baseless and a gross insult to Islam and Muslims.
“In your 22nd Intelligence Bureau Centenary Endowment lecture in New Delhi on Wednesday the 23rd (December 2009) instant, you are reported to have termed jihadh as “a war or struggle against unbelievers.” Kindly let me know: whether you said that sentence, which the media has reported? On what authority have you based your assertion, which, I have the least hesitation to state, is baseless and a gross insult to Islam and Muslims,” said S M Pasha, Convenor of Shariath Protection Council in his letter to Chidambaram written on December 30.
Shariath Protection Council has asked him to clarify his position in a week otherwise it will be forced to take civil or criminal action against him.
“If I fail to receive your reply within a reasonably short period – say, one week from the date of receipt of this letter, I will constrained to take such civil and/or criminal action as I deem it fit and necessary in the circumstances of the case,” Pasha said in the letter.
Meanwhile, various Muslim organizations and religious leaders have condemned Chidambaram for his statement on Jihad. They include Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, All India Muslim Personal Law Board, Social Democratic Party of India and Tamilnadu Muslim Munnetra Kazhagam.

After the Sepoy Mutinee of1857, British did not want the two major communities to get together.So, they misinterpretted Indian History andcreated a cleavage betweenthem.Anon, they introduced the Railways and the Schools.They played up the community factors to the hilt in both.In the railway stations there we "Hidu" Refreshmsnt rooms and "MRRs"!One brought Hindupani(water) and another Muslimpani!
To make his stay comfortable he resorted to "Divide and Rule" policy.
That led to big bloodshed, exodus of millions and the divison of the country into Pakistan and India!
After India adopted a constitution and the elections held, one paarty followed the British policy and caused the demolition of a heritage Masjid in 1992!AS late as in 2009, they were asserting that the Constitution did not reflect the aspirations of the Hindus , who were in a majority!The PM candidate assured to usher in an era oof "jan-sadhu shakti"!The forward looking yoth of the nation refused to toe their line.
yet some minister has made the faux pas that islamic terrorism has led the others to emulate them!It is hoped he will see the fallacy of it ere long.

May I invite your kind attention to my Email letter to you dated 30th December 2009 and also the letters dated 30th proximo.The earlier you admit your errot the better. After all, you are a no angel but just a human being and to err is but human, All that you will have to do in this regard is to withdraw the said assertion. Take it from me Muslims will treat the matter as closed if you take back your words. No useful purpose will be served if you are adament. I am writing this as your brother Tamilian and co-citizen, in your own interest.

Chidambaram is perfectl;y right to make this statement. jehadis are blowing up planes (one tried just on Christmas day in detroit), killing people indiscriminately (like in Pakistan, Yemen). India should be vigilant to keepo these Jehadis out. It is for the good of Muslism only that they keep away from these Jehadis.

RSS was also reaction- reaction to formation of MUSLIM LEAGUE in 1906. It was founded in 1925 as a reaction to violent ISLAM including the violence spread in India during KHILAFAT MOVEMENT- disrupting life in India for some stupid reason in TURKEY over which Indians had no control. Muslims continue the same style even till date disrupting life in India for some "Danish Cartoon" or a "Salman Rushdie" book. The earlier MUSLIMS desist from such stupidity the better it is for them.

The British learnt the lesson after the 1857 uprising to "keep the two major communities-Hindus and Muslims eternally divided to make their rule safe!
A group of Hindu extremists under Savarkar formed the All India Hindu Mahasabha"and wanted to create an exclusive Hindu state.And they made the cow slaughter as an emotive issue and communal clashes became frerquent. This led Muslims to form The Muslim League.They clamoured for reservations on the communal basis and sought safeguards for the community.Finally,they demanded the creation of Pakistan and got it!
It is very unfortunate that political issues of Chchenya, Bosnia,Algeria,Palestine, Phillipines, Afghanistan , iraq, Iran and Kashmir have been directed by Muslim clergy and hence it is called "Islamic Terrorism". They are all political matters and have nothing to do with the Islam or the grammar of "Jihad"!
History is different
The MARATHAS effectively ruled India- from Attock to Allahabad and from Jammu to Madurai from 1725. The MUSLIMS of India invited Ahammad Shah Abdali, the Afghan ruler and joined hands with the Afghans to defeat the MARATHAS at third Battle of PANIPAT 1761, weakening the MARATHAS making it easy for the British to defeat them. More importantly, MIR JAFFER handed over BENGAL to the British in Battle of PLASSY 1757.
In 1857, MUSLIMS JIHADIS wanted to re-impose ISLAMIC RULE through ZAFAR and what is wrong if HINDUS did NOT wanted to trade “one slavery” under British, for another “worst kind of slavery” under Muslims. HINDUS were smarter and more intelligent- they got the BRITISH to finish off the MUSLIMS- millions of MUSLIMS were killed in North India in the aftermath of 1857, and then pushed what is left into Pakistan. Had Pakistan not been formed it would have been India fighting with Afghans. So if any Indian MUSLIM is unhappy in India feel free to migrate to any other ISLAMIC COUNTRY and since GULF countries will not accept you go to PAKISTAN.

Your comments betray a lack of common sense - no one in the world lives in a silo, during the World Wars, Indian soldiers fought on the British side- now tell me, what interest did they have in European politics?
This proves that Muslims are actively concerned about global affairs and at least have a coherent foreign policy or can contribute to the same, instead of dancing to the tunes of foreign powers.
Apart from the religious angle, initiating the Khilafat movement was a positive step in Indian politics, as it put additional pressure on the British and contributed to global attention to the affairs in India. You should know that the government-in-exile, set up in Kabul had Raja Mahendra Pratap as its leader.
By your logic of control:

I admit and for that matter all peace-loving Indian citizens agree with you that no group or community should be permitted to indulge in violence. Violent acts begin with violent statements. Hence, the first thing which must be curbed is the tendency to solve problems not through lawful ways and means but thro' violent activities. When a Muslim talks about JIHADH, non-Muslims erroneously imagine that he or she is talking about killing non-Muslims. Nothing can be more absurd and farther from truth than that. Islam does not permit individual Muslims to wage a JIHADH. It is only the ruler of an Islamic State who must formally issue a Decree calling upon its subjects to participate in it.
Itis a pity that those who know the least about JIHADH talk a lot about it. Take for example, our Hon'ble Union Home Minister. He thinks JIHADH Allah has commanded and the Holy Prophet Muhammad's (peace and blessings of SAllah be on him)has enjoined Muslims to go about killing "unbelievers" and thatis JIHADH.
A wise man looks well before he leaps. The Hon'ble Minister ought to have done his home work well before he uttered that baseless assertion.
