After the State General Body meeting namely ‘State General Assembly’ conducted at Maddur of Mandya District on 26 and 27 December, 2009 Popular Front of India, Karnataka state passed resolutions on various issues related to the community and the country and demanded both Central and state government to do the needful.

“Demolition of Babri Masjid was a dreadful blow to the democracy, secular and social fabric of our country. It was an anti-national activity of communal fascist forces which created mistrust and communal hatred among the people. The Liberhan Commission has submitted its report on demolition of Babri Masjid by taking prolonged 17 years of time and clearly indicted 68 culprits. We urge the Central Government to arrest the culprits who have betrayed the constitution and security of the country. The State General Assembly also urges the Central Government to make necessary arrangements to rebuild the Babri Masjid at the same place as per its promise,” PFI said.

The party also urged the Central Government for immediate implementation of the recommendations of Justice Ranganath Mishra Commission which recommends 10% reservation to the Muslim community which is suppressed in all fields.

The general assembly of the party also expressed concern on price hike of essential commodities and urged the Union and State Governments to take necessary measures to bring down the price of the essential commodities and distribute more food grains to the poor people through the PDS system.

On the State BJP Government of Karnataka, PFI said: While the people of Karnataka are in deep trouble due to price hike and flood, the government is interested only in solving the dissidences in BJP. The people in the state are fed up of such an anti people government. Hence, the Central Government should intervene in this matter and set right these immediately.

It condemned the use of excessive force by police on farmers in Chamrajnagar who were protesting to demand resolution of their issues.

Popular Front of India also condemned the state BJP government for trying to ban cow slaughter in the Karnataka state. “Beef is the food of poor people. If the government bans cow slaughter it will suppress the rights of the people. More than all this, it is expected that the communal and fascist ideology-driven BJP government will use this as a new weapon to harass and commit atrocities on Muslim community, which has a thriving beef industry in the state.”
