Ahmedabad railway station blast accused chargesheeted

Gandhinagar: Mohammed Aslam Latif, an accused in the bomb blast at the Ahmedabad railway station in 2006 that left 10 people injured, was charge-sheeted Thursday by the Anti Terrorist Squad (ATS) of Gujarat police with providing assistance for the blasts.
In the charge-sheet filed in the court of Ahmedabad Metropolitan Magistrate G.S. Gamit, Latif alias Imran Mohammed Latif, has been charged with providing logistics support, mobile phones, CDs of the 2002 communal riots and providing assistance for the blasts.
"Latif, a resident of Jammu and Kashmir, had visited various vital installations of Gujarat and gathered confidential information," the charge sheet stated.
According to the charge sheet, Saiyad Jabbiruddin alias Jabbi Ansari, Jhulfikar Kaiyad Kagji, Junaid Pakistani and Abdul Razak Gazi, also accused in the case, are absconding.
Two others - Amir Shakim Ahmed and Saiyed Aakib - who were arrested for the same offence and had been taken away by the Maharashtra police on a transfer warrant, still remain to be returned to the custody of Gujarat police.
Even after the state police's requests to produce them in a local court, no satisfactory answer was given, said an ATS official.
Ten people were seriously injured in a blast at the Ahmedabad railway station on Feb 18, 2006. Investigations revealed that the blast was instigated by Lashkar-e-Taiba as their revenge for the post Godhra riots, police said.

I do not think you are an "Indian". Why dont you just say you are a "Muslim". All the time you are viewing everything as Hindu-Muslim, everything as a conspiracy to put down Muslims; even to the extent that 26/11 is an "insider" job in India and no Paki is involved.
Listen, Muslims are causing havoc all over the world - in their pursuit for who is the purest Muslim. They are killing each other in your favorite Pakistan. All tthese illiterate people are happy to live under dictatorships, kings.
Nobody here is going to respect Muslims until they denounce terrorism and work towards the upliftment of India. As long as your (I mean Muslims) mode is constantly complaining, and never seeing any good, you will always be a marginalized community.
So many have made it big in India. Parsees, sikhs, Christians never complain about how they are discriminated. They just work and study hard and achieve.

You should know - Christians have been targeted in Kandhamal, Orissa riots - and in various places.
In 1984 - Sikhs were killed in SIX-fugure, at hands of Hindutva / Kaangress combine. Yep, it is a six-figure (unofficial), although official figure is ONLY four-figure.
If everyone "keeps-shut" at Hindutva (or Government) excesses, a day will come - they will come openly against their own Hindu brethren(s) - as is the case of ATS Chief Hemant Karkare and his colleagues in 2008, Goa Bomb-blasts of 2009. Somebody needs to check them, and I am humbly doing my part - in whichever way I can. I also appreciate support of liberal Hindu Indians, who are doing their part - as they are answerable to THEIR-MAKER, after death.

It is amazing to read your article that a suspect of Feb. 2006 Attacks is CHARGED, while Government is DRAGGING its FEET in CHARGE-SHEETING those involved in Feb. 2002 Godhra Riots.

Considering this pace (speed) - Indians are better advised to forego implementation of Liberhan Commission Report - justice i.r.o. (in respect of) DEMOLITION of a HISTORICAL STRUCTURE.
