New Delhi: Zakat Foundation of India today selected 28 candidates from 12 states in the country to coach them for the Civil Services Examination 2011. The selection was made after entrance test and interview on May 11-13. Of 28, 21 are Muslims with three women among them. ZFI will provide them with free of cost coaching, lodging and food.
Sir Syed Coaching & Guidance Centre, which is jointly sponsored by Zakat Foundation of India & Interfaith Coalition for Peace, conducted the entrance test, and will look after the selected candidates.
They have been selected by the Zakat Foundation of India as ZFI Fellows 2010. This is the 4th Batch for the Civil Services examination.
Dr Zafar Mahmood, president ZFI, said his organization had sponsored several candidates last year. Two of them got success.
The selected 28 students are from 12 states: 9 are from J & K, 6 from Kerala and 3 from UP. From Jharkhand there are 2 students. One each is from Tamil Nadu, Delhi, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Uttarakhand, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Gujarat. There is none from Bihar.
