Terror strikes feared in Pakistan ahead of Eid

By IANS,

Islamabad : Militant outfits in Pakistan are planning suicide attacks across the country on the eve of Eid-ul-Fitr, a media report said Wednesday.

Terrorists are planning to attack religious gatherings, public places, markets, important buildings and sensitive installations, similar to the attacks carried out in Lahore and Quetta recently, the Daily Times reported citing an intelligence report.

The National Crisis Management Cell and the interior ministry have issued a circular to all provincial governments, the inspector generals of police, provincial police chiefs and other law enforcement agencies to immediately put security on high alert, the report said.
