Assam election: 65% voters participated in the second phase

Guwahati: The second and final phase of Assam Assembly election ended today with an estimated 65 per cent of voting. The first phase of election held on April 4 showed a turnout of 74% voting. Election was held today in 64 constituencies in 14 districts. About 97,000 voters exercised their rights to decide the fate of 4 96 candidates. Incidents of violence were reported from Chaygaon constituency over snatching of EVM machines while being carried out towards police station.
