Malappuram: Former President of the country Dr APJ Abdul Kalam will inaugurate the state Campus Conference organized by the Muslim Students Federation on February 18. The two-day conference will be held at the Calicut University campus, informed the state office-bearers in a press conference.
The conference which begins at 10 am on February 18 will be inaugurated by Dr Kalam at 3 pm. Muslim League state president Panakkad Hyderali Shihab Thangal will inaugurate the sessions of the second day. The valedictory session will be inaugurated by Muslim League state general secretary PK Kunhalikkutty.
Film-maker Mahesh Bhatt, novelist C Radhakrishnan, Swami Sandeepananda, poet Murukan Kattakkada, D Babu Paul, Dhanesh Kumar, Fathima Musafar, MA Revathi and ghazal singer Shahbaz Aman will attend the different sessions. Minister of State for External Affairs Mr E Ahmed, Muslim League secretary MP Abdussamad Samadani, ET Muhammed Basheer, Dr MK Muneer, TA Ahmed Kabeer and PV Abdul Vahab will also attend the programme.
The women’s wing of the organisation will have a final set-up by the conference, the state leaders said. State president PK Firoze, general secretary TP Ashrafali, treasurer NK Afsal Rahman and vice-president VKM Shafi were present in the press conference.
