Assalamualaikum

My son is studying in 8th standard(english med).pune divisional board
What measures are necessary at this stage for smooth career in medical .
Please guide.

We r v glad to know that u r planing frm now

All over india admission to medical courses requires CET that is entrance test. Till now there are more than 10 medical entrance exam available for xii science students, in which AIIMS,AIPMT,AFMC,STATE LEVEL CET's are famous private unaided colleges and Deemed universities conduct their own entrance test.

For qualifying these entrance test requires clear basic fundamental knowledge of physics chemistry and biology for preparation of national level cet's CBSE syllabus need to study Hope in future their could be only 1 nationwide CET for admsn to
medical course as declared by union HRD Minstr Mr. Kapil Sibbal.

Therefore u have to guide ur son to appear for competitive exam like MTS NTS Homibhabha scientist and other school level exam After pasing x exam focus on main 3 subjects PCB Magazines like Maths Today, Biology Today, Physics Today, career 360 weekly, newspapers, employment news etc can be helpful.

In maharshtra there are approx 2000 govt seats till now Seats will likely To increase in future So competition ia v high as far as medical is concern. Prepare ur son and hope for the best.
