New Delhi: Surprised at the title of this report? Don't be, because bringing Muslims closer to Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh and its affiliates like Bajrang Dal and Vishwa Hindu Parishad -- well known for their aggressive anti-Muslim stand -- is precisely the sole purpose of this front called Muslim Rashtriya Manch (MRM). This was one of the prominent ideas which, Girish Juyal, organizational convener of MRM and supposedly the right hand of Indresh Kumar, the senior RSS leader, shared in a frank interview with Md. Ali of TwoCircles.net.
MRM -- PR agency of RSS for Muslims?
Without talking about the disturbing aspects of RSS' views towards Muslims in India and their place in its larger ideology of Hindutva and Hindu Rashtra, Girish Juyal, said that the saffron group doesn't have any thing against Muslims. But what about their violent protests against Muslims, their participation in anti-Muslims riots in Gujarat in 2002 to name a few? Joyal rejected any such view calling it a “misrepresentation of Hindutva organizations by the media, and RSS, VHP and Bajrang Dal have never been involved in any violent activities.”

Be afraid of Allah and not RSS
“See, Muslims who should not have been afraid of anybody except Allah, have been made to get scared of RSS, VHP, Bajrang Dal and the BJP. The distance between RSS and Muslims have been increased so much that MRM decided that it will facilitate a direct talk between the two,” added Joyal.
Any body not knowing actual identity of Mr. Girish Joyal could have easily taken him as being a practicing Muslim because he was talking about Hubbul watani (love for one’s country), Muhammad Salallaho Alaihe Wasallam (prophet Muhammad PBUH).
“We want to eliminate all the differences between RSS and Muslims and thereby bring them closer,” added Mr. Joyal. He claimed that he might be the Organizational head of MRM but it’s run for Muslims and by Muslims.
To get a Muslim perspective on RSS this correspondent talked to Md. Afzaal, national convener of MRM. When asked how he counters the mass view about RSS being an anti-Muslim group, Afzaal said that, “actually both RSS and Muslim community have misunderstood each other for a very long period of time which resulted in many prejudices and wrong conception about each other which we need to eliminate through a continuous process of dialogue.”

In order to know how a Muslim scholar negotiates space with an ideology allegedly as extremist as that of RSS, TCN talked to the Ulema wing chief of MRM, Sufi Mohammad Waheed Chishti who is also chief of All India Sufi Sant Mahasangh.
Waheed Chishti didn’t have any qualms about joining Manch which is an RSS affiliate. He defended RSS by saying that, “most of anti-Muslim ranting which is usually attributed to the RSS is the propaganda of media and the Congress party otherwise RSS, VHP and Bajrang Dal are not against the community.”
“It’s just that they talk about inclusive identity of Muslims within the larger fold of nationalism,” added Chishti. MRM claims membership of more than 4 lakhs with several wings like those for women and students.

Problematic idea
This idea of RSS and the entire Hindutva lobby being friend of Muslims is very problematic for lots of Muslims and requires closer scrutiny before one takes it on its face value.
Rejecting the idea of “friendship between RSS and Muslims” Faizur Rahman, who heads Forum for the Promotion of Moderate Thoughts Among Muslims (FPMTAM), talked about the Biblical saying, “how can a leopard change its spots…”

“In the framework of RSS’s vision of Hindu Rashtra Hindutva should be forced upon Muslims otherwise they should be made as second class citizens,” added Faizur Rahman while talking about the actual place of Muslims in RSS’ ideology.

“Let the top leaders of RSS like KS Sudarshan make a public statement that RSS doesn’t favor forcing Hindutva on Muslims and thereby is also against making them a 2nd class citizens in their vision of Hindutva and Hindu Rashtra,” said Mr. Faizur Rahman.
Hitting back at the MRM’s strategy to use lies about RSS in order to create a constituency among Muslims, this Chennai based peace activist said that “let the RSS leaders publicly declare that the RSS respects Islam and doesn’t have problems with Muslims propagating their religion in India.”
Reacting to the news of MRM spreading RSS ideology among Muslims, Mr. Rahman said that “RSS can’t propagate its ideology among Hindus, let alone Muslims because it’s a fact that RSS doesn’t represent Hindus. RSS is like the All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) kind of body which represents just a miniscule and fringe minority groups.
Patronizing towards Muslims One of the problematic aspects of MRM is its patronizing attitude towards Muslims besides reinforcing the same stereotypes about the community it claims to break. For instance it does lots of campaigns in order to “create nationalist feelings among Muslims.” For instance MRM organizes as Safare Sadaqat, Salame Madare Watan (Salute to Mother India) prominent among others.
One can easily ask why it organizes these campaigns to create nationalist feelings among Muslims. Does this imply that Muslims are less nationalist? Isn’t it the same logic which RSS argues in order to force Hindutva on the community calling it as an ‘outsider influence”?
Isn’t MRM another RSS in the garb of a Muslim organization using duplicity just to create a good PR for the Hindutva ideology?

Hindu Terror Justified!
While talking to TCN, Joyal betrayed the justification of Hindutva terror by saying that “after seeing these bomb blasts and killing of innocents in those terrorist attacks even a normal activist also thinks about taking revenge,” but in the very next moment tried to backtrack his words, realizing the gravity of his statement.
Extremist Hindu against MRM
It was surprising to know that there is an extremist lobby within the RSS which was against people like Indresh Kumar and organizations like MRM because they call any attempt to bring about reconciliation and dialogue between the Hindutva groups and Muslims as “drama.”
“We have to fight this extremist lobby within the RSS because they think that dialogue between the RSS and Muslims is impossible and not worth the effort,” added Joyal.
Joyal accepted the fact that this was precisely the reason why Col. Purohit who has been arrested in connection with Malegaon bomb blast 2008 also wanted to kill Indresh Kumar who is key to RSS plans fro Muslims. Being a guide and patron of the Manch, Kumart created a hostile group against himself within the Hindutva lobby, added Joyal.
So in order to placate this extremist Hindutva lobby within the RSS, Muslim Rashtriya Manch tries to work on all the grievances which this extremist lobby has against Muslims, informed Joyal. For instance cow slaughter.
“Till now we have made 4 lakhs Muslim youths sign on anti-cow slaughter papers, taking assurances from these youths not to slaughter ever cows and advocate against the cow slaughter,” said Joyal.
Agenda of MRM
MRM was formed in 2002 during the NDA regime after the Godhra riot in Gujarat, in a Eid-Diwali Milan function in Delhi which was attended by RSS leaders like Sudarshan and Muslims religious scholars like Wahiduddin Khan, Mufti Mukarram and late Jamil Ilyasi.
There is a section among the mainstream Muslim civil society which is quite disturbed at the huge inroads MRM has managed to make in the backward section of the community through its different social welfare programmes.
Because the main purpose of the Manch is to create an RSS constituency among Muslims it talks about and raises all the issues which appeal to a Muslim psyche. For instance they talk about socio-economic backwardness of Muslims and the failure of the government, regularization of prayers in mosques under the supervision of the Archeological Survey of India.
Indresh Kumar’s defense after Aseemanand’s confession MRM has also come on the fore front for defending Indresh Kumar whose name has been mentioned by Aseemanand as one of the culprits in blasts as well as killing of Sunil Joshi. The group is currently launching a nation wide campaign against what it calls “attempts to malign Indresh Kumar’s secular image.”
A fringe group
Like any other fringe group even Muslim Rashtriya Manch suffers from the lack of legitimacy and it seems the mainstream Muslim community is very skeptical of this group’s RSS connections. This, in spite of the fact that it has managed to make huge in roads among the backward section of Muslims.

At the outset, RSS is to answer:

Till it is not unconditionally admitted by RSS people that they no more subscribe to these view of Golwalkar, there is no question of Muslims relying on RSS.
Why RSS tries to entice Muslims? this is million dollar question but not very hard to understand the reason thereof!
RSS wants BJP to be installed at the throne of New Delhi on its own majority (without secular partners extending support as during 1998-2004) that too with 2/3rd majority in both houses of parliament so that Constitution of India may be amended the way RSS wants! The Muslims/Christians and vast majority of secular Hindus are the hurdle in this attempt. To present itself as not-against Muslims, RSS plays such dramas! Muslims generally vote strategically to defeat BJP candidates in general elections. This trend disturbs RSS/BJP. To refrain Muslims from this strategic anti-BJP voting and also to garner as much Muslim votes as possible thru the support of saleable Muslim leaders, as the one who is managing Muslim Rashtriya Manch, such dramas take place!

Men with skull caps and long beards appearing to be believers but fighting for the leftover bones thrown by the RSS/VHP and the likes could neither bring education not eradicate poverty in the slums. These are a group of people who themselves need to be educated. In English the saying goes like "Tell me your friend and I will tell you". When you have RSS as your friends who has no credentials among the minorities and for that matter even among the Majority of the Majorities, I for one suspect these bearded men as unconfident cowards.

HINDUTVA’S DEADLY PLATOON
INDRESH KUMAR, a member of the RSS Central Committee. Three accused, Swami Aseemanand, Lokesh Sharma and Shivam Dhakad, and one witness, Bharat Riteshwar, have stated before the CBI that Indresh had mentored and financed the RSS pracharaks behind Malegaon, Samjhauta Express, Ajmer and Mecca Masjid terror strikes.
SWAMI ASEEMANAND, the head of the RSS-affiliated Van Vasi Kalyan Ashram, Shabri Dham in Dangs, Gujarat. He has confessed to playing the role of an ideologue to the terrorists. Besides presiding over terror meetings held in Dangs and Valsad in Gujarat, he also selected Malgeaon, Ajmer Sharif and Hyderabad as terror targets.
SANDEEP DANGE, a senior RSS pracharak from Shajapur district near Indore. Along with Joshi and Ramchandra Kalsangra, he was a key figure in the longrunning conspiracy to bomb Muslim places of worship and Muslim neigbourhoods. He is currently absconding.
RAM CHANDRA KALSANGRA ALIAS RAMJI, an RSS pracharak from Madhya Pradesh. He carried out terror strikes in different places between December 2002 and 29 September 2008 (when bombs went off simultaneously in Malegaon and Modasa. He has been absconding since October 2008.
SHIVAM DHAKHAD, an RSS activist and associate of accused Joshi and Ramji Kalsangra. Along with other RSS pracharaks, he allegedly took training in bomb-making in 2005. He also did a reconnaissance of Aligarh Muslim University and residence of Justice UC Banerjee (chairman of the Godhra commission) for terror strikes.
LT COL SHRIKANT PUROHIT, a founding member of terror outfit Abhinav Bharat. He was posted with the military intelligence unit at Nashik. He allegedly tried to draft in other army officers in his terror outfit. He is accused of supplying RDX for the 2008 Malegaon blasts.
DEVENDRA GUPTA, the RSS vibhag pracharak of Muzaffarnagar, Bihar. He provided logistics to Joshi, Kalsangra and Dange for terror strikes. He also harboured Kalsangra and Dange in RSS offices while they were on the run.
LOKESH SHARMA, an RSS worker and close associate of Joshi, Dange and Kalsangra. He purchased the two Nokia handsets that were used to trigger the bombs at Mecca Masjid and Ajmer Sharif.
BHARAT RATESWAR ALIAS BHARATBHAI, the head of Sri Vivekananda Kendra Sansthan in Valsad district, Gujarat. As a close associate of Aseemanand, he participated in several terror meetings held at his residence and also at Shabri Dham ashram. He also travelled with Joshi to Jharkhand and Uttar Pradesh providing logistics for the blasts.
YOGI ADITYANATH, BJP MP from Gorakhpur. He was contacted by Aseemanand to provide funds for terrorist activities. Joshi held a hush-hush meeting with him at his Gorakhpur residence in 2006, at the time when the conspiracy to carry out multiple blasts was underway. According to Aseemanand, he didn’t give much support. But he continues to be under suspicion.
DR ASHOK VARSHNAY, RSS prant pracharak of Kanpur. He sheltered key terror accused and RSS pracharak Devendra Gupta at Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram and Vishwa Mangal Gau Gram Yatra in Sitapur, Uttar Pradesh, while Gupta was on the run. Varshnay has told investigators that he had shielded Gupta at the behest of Indresh Kumar.
RAJESH MISHRA, an RSS activist and owner of a foundry in Pithampura, near Mhow. He gave 15 cast iron shells in 2001 to Joshi, who used them during failed bomb blasts at Ijtema (a Muslim gathering) in Bhopal in 2002. He was also a co-accused along with Joshi in the murder of local Congress workers.
SUDHAKAR DHAR DWIVEDI ALIAS DAYANAND PANDEY he ran an ashram named Shardapeeth in Jammu. He played the role of an ideologue to those involved in the 2008 Malegaon blasts. He was in the habit of recording the meetings he would have with Abhinav Bharat members on his laptop

RSS, right from its founder and all its later-year leaders want a common enemy to perpetuate its High caste dharma. They have to ensure that majority of the people remain under ignorence and they find Islam a stumbling block in all their efforts.
Islams recoomend common understanding among all communities and respect each others view points and peaceful co-existance. It does not force anybody to toe Islam.
RSS and its mutiple parivars will not find Islamic view palatable.

The people who participated with the MRM organisation firs time are as good as the munafiqeen at the time of the Prophet. An outrightly secular organisation of Mr Rahman from Madras too has talked on this. If the RSS agrees to disband itself and swear on the Constitution of India, then only there is some chances that they are given a 100 years to show their faith in India and Indianness. Meantime if their terrorism is repeated, the clock should again be reset so that the scrouge of terrorism is eradicated permanently. It is laughable to think of RSS etc and the meek assertion of people like Maolvi Mukarram, Ilyasi and Wahiduddeen who talk like SRK. All these fellows invoke Islam and Qur'an which is selective while they never live by its words. These people are not credible for absence of any 'standing'. They can be bought for some money and bits of 'positive' publicity on cheap channels funded by vested interests.

I have known some RSS volunteers and I have found them to be anti-Muslim. Muslims and RSS should come together for everybody's sake. MRM seem to be doing that, and its efforts should be encouraged.

11-Providing proportionate number of tickets to Muslims in Municipal,Assembly and Parliamentary elections, not from Muslim constituencies but from all the constituencies.
12-Not to insist on Cow slaughter, Muslims can eat beef, If they want they can dring Cows urine.
13-Not to insist on hoisting National flag on Muslim sites, but on RSS buildings.
14-Not to insist on "Vande Mataram" which conflicts with the Muslims fundamental right of praying One God.
15-To Take action agaisnt Togadia, Singhal, modi etc. who have been humiliating Muslims and Islam.
16-Not to comment on Haj subsidy.
17-To list out all the members who have been trained in Militancy and file FIRs against those who have confessed(on Tehelka) of RAPES, killings and heinous crimes against Muslims in Gujarath
If RSS leaders are serious about befriending Muslims then they must clarify their views on the above points. Else it is an attempt to get rid of the terrorist image and evade ban after lot of its members including Indresh have been under incestigations for carryimg out terror activities against Muslims.
Terrorism - A by product of Islam
No body knew what terrorism was until it was propagated by Wahabi. If muslims are not invaders, have they fallen from sky or sprouted from under ground ?

The Hindutva/Brahmanical terror outfit(RSS) has already been classified as the largest terrorist organization in South Asia by The Christian Science Monitor. Have you ever read Bunch of Thought(Vichar Dhara), the bible of RSS? The terror book asks its goons either eliminate or subjugate Muslims, Christians and Communists in order to establish total Hindutva(Brahmanical) authority in our land.
Not only Muslims but also a true patriot be it Muslim or Hindu or Sikh can never associate with the Hindutva/Brahmanical terror outfit(RSS). Why???? Because RSS had already proven that it was anti-national without having participated in Freedom Struggle. But they were active in killing Muslims at the time of partition, a dream of then Hindutva leaders.
If any Muslim goes after the Hindutva/Brahmanica terror outfit(RSS), he should be considered as Traitor.Because he doesn't show solidarity towards the terrorised brothers and sisters in different parts of India especially in Gujarat.
