Post-poll survey: Corruption-hit DMK may lose in Tamil Nadu

Chennai: Under thick cloud of corruption, the ruling DMK is going to lose power in the just concluded assembly poll. According to the IBN7-CSDS post-poll survey, the ruling DMK-Congress alliance will get 102-114 seats in the 234-seat Tamil Nadu assembly.

According to the poll, the AIADMK alliance led by J Jayalalitha will get 120-132 seats. As for vote share, the DMK will get 44% votes while the AIADMK will get 46% votes.

The poll was held amid the arrest of DMK cabinet minister A Raja who is alleged to be involved in 2G spectrum scam. Now Chief Minister Karunanidhi’s daughter has also been found involved in the scam and the court is hearing her bail plea.
