Post-poll survey: Kerala may give relief to Left

By TCN News,

Thiruvananthapuram: The ruling Left-led front may retain power in Kerala, a big relief for the communists who are almost set to get a heavy defeat in West Bengal. According to the IBN7-CSDS post-poll survey, the ruling LDF may get 69-77 seats in the 140-seat Assembly.

The survey says that chief minister VS Achutanandan may lead LDF to the power. The opposition UDF that is led by Congress will be a little behind LDF. The UDF may get 63-71 seats.

The edge to the Left-led LDF is despite the projection that it may lose 2% vote share. In 2011 poll LDF will get vote share of 46% while UDF will get 45%. In the 2006 poll LDF had got 48% vote share while UDF 43%.
