Post-poll survey: Mamata sweeps West Bengal with over 200 seats

Kolkata: Mamata Banerjee-led alliance is going to sweep the West Bengal assembly elections with more than two-third majority. According to the IBN7-CSDS post-poll survey telecast just half an hour ago, Trinamool Congress-led alliance will get 222-234 seats in the 294-seat assembly, which was under the rule of communists for over three decades.

The Left Front will get a drubbing at the hand of TMC-Congress alliance as it will get just 60-72 seats.

According to the survey, the Left Front get 40% votes, a loss of 10% vote share compared to 2006 while TMC-Congress will get 50% vote share and others that include BJP will get just 10% votes.

In 2006, Left had got 50% votes, Trinamool Congress 41% and others 9%.

The votes for the 2011 assembly elections will be counted on Friday 13th May.
