The Allahabad HC, in a majority judgment, had decided to divide the disputed land among three parties. The court had also held that the place below the central dome of Babri Masjid was the exact place where Ram was born. The verdict was strongly criticized as it was given relying on faiths not facts.

“When the Allahabad HC passed the order on September 30, 2010, we had said that this verdict has damaged the prestige of the judiciary,” said Er Hussain and added: The Allahabad HC verdict was not a judgment but a settlement. “It is clear from the apex court observation that the HC verdict was on the basis of faiths, not documents and facts in the title suit,” he further said.
