Indian-origin Norway resident found dead in Delhi

New Delhi : A 21-year-old Norway resident of Indian origin was found dead in a hotel room in Delhi, police said Thursday.

Valentilo Raffaello, 21, an Indian origin Norway resident, was found dead at around 8.30 p.m. Wednesday at Roma Deluxe Hotel in Nabi Karim area in central Delhi.

Some sleeping pills, pain killers and injections were found from his possession, police said, adding that the body has been taken to custody and the post-mortem report awaited.

According to police, “As per the hotel staff, the victim checked in at the hotel around 6 a.m. Wednesday.

“Till 8.30 p.m., when he didn’t come out from his room, the hotel staff got suspicious. After knocking on the door several times, when he did not open the door, police was called and after the door was broken open he was found dead on his hotel bed.”

His father, Akshay Gaurav resides in Vasant Kunj area, police said.
