Being a national level athlete and volley ball player who also holds B.P.Ed and M.P.Ed degree, Mr. Waseem Ahmad was happy to meet the players and inaugurated the tournament by serving the new ball. Speaking on the occasion he assured of keeping the promises made by Samajwadi Party. He exhorted Mr. Israr Ahmad, representative of local M.L.A. Mr. Alam Badi Azmi, who is also the Block Pramukh of Rani ki Sarai and District Vice President of Samajwadi Party, to initiate the proceedings for different development work like raising of culvert and construction of much needed bridge on River Tons (Tamsa) connecting State Highway no. 30 and 37 and assured him of his full support. A memo signed by villagers of the area demanding bridge construction was also given to the Minister.

Shaukat Sultan (from village Muslimpatti, Azamgarh) was Principal of Shibli National College and in his tenure faculties like Law, education (in fifties) and postgraduate departments in Arts and Science subjects (seventies) were opened. College was at its zenith academically as well as in extra curricular activities. Construction in his period had no aesthetic appeal but three lecture theaters (no further addition since then), sliding boards in class rooms, well equipped central library as well seminar in postgraduate departments existed.

Except Computer centre and girls ITI, nothing in the name of new department has been added. Seminars have vanished and the famous College Library is not considered worthy of a visit by dignitaries (who are taken to Shibli Academy Library instead).
