Man kills wife nagging him to give up drugs

New Delhi : A 36-year-old property dealer in west Delhi was arrested for murdering his wife, who was repeatedly urging him to give up his drugs habit, said police Tuesday.

Harpal Singh was arrested Monday from his relative's residence in Nihal Vihar, a day after he hacked his wife Jaspreet Kaur to death in the beauty parlour she ran in the Rani Bagh area.

During interrogation, Singh revealed that his wife objected to his drug and alcohol consumption habits, due to which they used to quarrel each other.

Irritated by his wife's exhortations, he went to her parlour Sunday and killed her.
