Besides removing the T-shirt designs, CafePress have expressed their regret through a statement issued for “any problems or concerns caused by the images in question.” On Thursday, February 17th the Sikh Coalition had issued an open letter to CafePress CEO Bob Marino and it urged the community members to sign an online petition which garnered around 2000 signatures within a day. The racist images were removed from the website on Saturday, February 19th morning.

The Coalition through its open letter has called on CafePress to improve its internal controls to prevent further such hate materials being sold through their site. The Coalition assured that they will continue to push for such controls with other civil rights organizations.
