Lucknow: The Peace Party of India (PPI) may be giving sleepless nights to its rivals, but there is trouble in store for its chief Dr Ayub Ansari. PPI candidate from Gopamau, Hardoi Sunita Mitra returned the party ticket leveling charges of sexual exploitation on Saturday.
Sunita, is presently member of Zila Panchayat in Lakhimpur Khiri and was fielded by PPI from Gopamau in Hardoi district. On January 13, she had created uproar at the residence of Dr Ayub in Metro City, Nishatganj when she alleged that Dr Ayub was forcing her to make compromises.
“I resisted the move and even informed the police. But the local police also failed to take any action. Later, I was also threatened by other PPI leaders that they will kill my family if I do not withdraw my charges,” said Sunita on Saturday.

The lady also stated that she will not contest the elections but will campaign against Dr Ayub to expose him. “I will campaign wherever Dr. Ayub is contesting. I will narrate all the incidents. He is exploiting the females showing them lofty dreams in politics,” she alleged.
However, Sunita denied that she is being prompted by any party. “I am not acting on behalf of any party. I have not decided yet to join any party. Though leaders of several parties are in touch with me,” she said.
When contacted, national general secretary of PPI, Dr MJ Khan denied these charges. “She was denied party ticket so she is leveling such charges. Our party is not concerned about such baseless charges. She is prompted by Samajwadi Party (SP) as their leadership is worried about the emergence of out outfit and its acceptability among Muslims and other backwards,” said Dr. Khan.
