NHRC notice to Odisha on torching of Dalits' houses

New Delhi : The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has issued notice to the Odisha Government on the torching of 30 houses of Dalits, allegedly by upper caste people, in the state's Bolangir District.

The commission has sought a report from the government within four weeks regarding the Jan 22 incident in Bolangir's Lathore village.
