Kuwait: The President of Indo-Kuwait Friendship Society, (IKFS) Dr. Ghalib Al-Mashoor has sent a letter to Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC- the 57-member group of Muslim nations), Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, for immediate intervention to protect minority Rohingya Muslims in Mynmar.

IKFS asked OIC to play a positive role in bringing an end to the violence. IKFS is ashamed of non-action of the Nobel Peace Laureate Aung San Suu Kyi, who has not condemned the violence against Rohingyas.

IKFS expressed concern over the “unabated and continuous violation of Muslims (Rohingya) rights in Burma where thousands of Rohingyas were killed, injured and displaced both internally and externally.” IKFS asks the international community to help and to do whatever possible way to stop ethnic cleansing of Muslims and blood-shed in Myanmar.
