Kazmi’s arrest in the case had stirred Muslims and civil rights activists, and a large number of protest rallies were carried in different parts of the country following his arrest.

While speaking during a felicitation ceremony, he said I have taken permission from Supreme Court for touring the state, for thanking the people who all prayed for my release.

Later, while talking to the pressmen, he denied to comment over the case but said I have complete faith in the judiciary that I will not be punished for the crime I have not committed.

“I have worked for Doordarshan for years and even went to Iraq for covering the war too but it’s the apathy that I was dragged in the fake case of involvement in terrorist activities,” he added.

Prominent Shia Cleric and Imam-e-Juma, Maulana Kalbe Jawwad said Kazmi’s arrest was the conspiracy of Israel and US as he used to report against the anti-Muslim policies which was not liked by these countries.

“Many of innocent Muslims were dragged in fake cases and are still waiting for justice in Jails but Kamzi was luckily was released in the case,” he added.
