Srinagar : Two separatist guerrillas of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) outfit, including one said to be involved in the 2011 Delhi High Court blast, were killed Sunday in a gunfight with security forces in Sopore town in north Kashmir, police said.
A senior police officer told IANS that the two militants were identified as Urfi and Abdullah Shaheen.
“Both the slain militants belonged to the LeT outfit and were identified as Urfi, a local, and Abdullah Shaheen, a Pakistani national,” the officer said.
Police also said Urfi had been involved in Sep 7, 2011, Delhi High Court blasts.
Searches are still continuing in the Shallapora area of Sopore, 54 km from here, although the firing had stopped.
