Modi to campaign in Karnataka: Sadananda Gowda

By TwoCircles.net Staff Reporter,

Bengaluru: Former Karnataka Chief Minister and BJP vice-president DV Sadananda Gowda said on Tuesday that, Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi will be the star campaigner in the upcoming assembly elections in the state.

Modi had campaigned for the BJP in the previous Assembly elections held in 2008, and the state unit seems to have similar expectations from him this time.

But given BJP’s week position, due to corruption charges, internal fighting and many star leaders changing party lines, will Modi, who has in the past snubbed Uttar Pradesh campaign for BJP’s similar position there, actively take part in the election campaign is something that many party supporters will be anxious about.

Congress on the other hand, looks like it is not concerned about the ‘Modi factor’ and says it is confident of winning the elections.
