Bengaluru: Following Congress’s second list release, the ruling BJP announced its third list with 37 candidates late night on Sunday April 14.
Like its previous two lists, no Muslim was given ticket for the declared 213 candidates so far. BJP had announced its first list of 140 candidates on April 5, 2013.
MLAs Katta Subramanya Naidu, SN Krishnaiah Setty and Y Sampangi, who are facing corruption charges, have not figured in the list. However, there are speculations that the party might consider fielding family members on their behalf.
As the last day of filing for nominations is April 17, the fourth and final list may be expected soon.
