Sir Syed Minority foundation representatives meet Bihar CM over minority character of AMU

    Aligarh: Sir Syed Minority Foundation of India (SSMFI) Aligarh, a organisation which is working for the restoration of minority chararcter of AMU, met Nitish Kumar, Chief Minister of Bihar on 30 July in Patna.

    The secretary of SSMFI, Md Perwez Siddiqui along with other members of the organization briefed the Bihar CM over the issue and its current status and urged him for support if and when the issue comes up in the Parliament.
    According to SSMFI, Kumar has assured own his and his party support for the restorations of the minority status of AMU.

    Nitish Kumar informed the members of SSMFI about his government achievement in handing over the required land for Kishangunj centre of AMU. He further assured that both inside and outside of the parliament his party will support the cause of AMU.

    This meeting which was held in the chamber of the Chief Minister, attended by PK Sahay, Minister of Education and Vijay Kumar Chaudhary.

    Mr Perwez Siddiqui also extended the invitation to Nitish Kumar to come to AMU in a function thats is going to be organized by SSMFI in the first week of September 2013.
