Kuttichira Jama Palli officials visit Kuwait

Kuwait City: Nandi (Kozhikode District) Mohiyuddin Jama Masjid Committee’s General Secretary Mushref Kader Haji and Former Vice President and Block Panchayath member Meyon Kader were given a warm welcome reception by Executives of Indo-Kuwait Friendship Society.

Both dignitaries have lived in the Gulf countries (Kuwait and Qatar). Mushref Kader Haji said that he was in Kuwait until the 1990 incident and he is happy and amazed to see Kuwait’s progressive development both economically and infrastructural.

The Nandi Jama Masjid officials made a courtesy visit to IKFS President Dr. Sayyid Ghalib Al-Mashoor Thangal, the leader and advisor of so many Institutions in Kuwait and in India who arranged the reception in honor of visiting dignitaries and exchanged their views on the Global peace movement.

Kerala has a unique record in India for the harmonious coexistence of diverse religions. Hindus, Christians and Muslims are the major religious communities of the state, a small population of Jains, Sikhs, Buddhists, Jews and some others are also present.

As per Census 2001, Hindus constitute 56.20 percent, Muslims 24.7 percent and Christians 19 percent of the total population of 3,18,41,374 of the State.

The Jama Masjid or Jama Palli of Kozhikode is a 14th century mosque located in Kuttichira, home to two other old mosques Mishkal Masjid and Muchundipalli,

Dr. Al-Mashoor thanked the rulers of Kuwait, H.H. Shaikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Amir of Kuwait, H.H. Crown Prince Shaikh Nawaf Al-Sabah and Govt. of Kuwait for their contributions in restoring peace and dignity among the world nations. He prayed for long lasting prosperous rule and strength for the Rulers and people of Kuwait. Sameer Manas, Secretary of Fahaheel area K.K.M.C.C. also joined in the reception.
