Gurgaon: An Indian Reserve Battalion (IRB) constable, accused of raping a married woman here, was found dead on the railway tracks near the Gurgaon station, police said Saturday.
“Balkrishan’s body was found on railway tracks near the Gurgaon station Friday evening,” a Government Railway Police officer told IANS.
The body was identified with the help of an ID card and other papers, the officer added.
Earlier this week, a case was registered against the IRB constable and his accomplice Mahinder, an auto driver, for raping the 28-year-old woman. While Mahinder was arrested from his house here, the IRB constable from Haryana’s Sonipat district was on the run.
