Delhi eatery owner stabbed to death over Rs.50

New Delhi : 35-year-old eatery owner was Tuesday stabbed to death while his younger brother was injured in an attack by seven people following a scuffle over the payment of Rs.50, police said. Three people have been arrested.

Yusuf and his 30-year-old brother Nawab were stabbed outside their shop in south Delhi’s Okhla area.

A witness told police three of the seven men had food worth Rs.250 but paid only Rs.200.

When the eatery owner asked them to pay the full amount, an argument ensued between them.

The three men called the four other people and attacked Yusuf and Nawab with rods. The attackers fled the scene, and the injured were taken to a hospital where doctors declared Yusuf dead.

Police said the three men – identified as Rahid, Mohd. Akram and Shadab – were vegetable vendors were arrested from the same area while the others were on the run.
