No one need be scared of my government, says Modi

New Delhi : BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi Tuesday said no one need be scared of his government as his “mantra” is “fearlessness”.

In an interview to ABP News, Modi said: “You would have my interview in your library (archives) in 2002 (post-winning the Gujarat polls).”

“After winning the polls in 2002, I went to Maninagar to thank the voters. I said in my speech that day that this (Gujarat) government belongs to those who have voted for it, against it and even to those who have not voted.”

“The ‘mantra’ for my government is ‘abhai (fearless), abhai, abhai’. I said it thrice,” Modi said when asked whether Muslims are scared of him.

Further probed whether he would take the Muslim community along, Modi said: “I don’t believe in this terminology. I will take along all communities.”

Asked whether he agreed with Giriraj Singh, the Bharatiya Janata Party candidate from Nawada in Bihar, Modi said: “Nobody can agree with what he (Giriraj) has said.”

Giriraj Singh said at an election rally that those opposing Modi “are looking at Pakistan, and such people will have place in Pakistan and not in India”.
