On Dec 24, Iran’s Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif wrote to his counterparts in other countries, expounding on Iran’s position in the nuclear negotiations between Tehran and the six states — Russia, China, Britain, France, the US plus Germany.

Zarif said in the letter that Iran has stood up to illegitimate and humiliating demands by certain countries and has firmly rejected them, saying Tehran has never accepted such demands in nuclear talks with the P5+1 group.

Emami Kashani further criticised Western governments for levelling accusations against Iran over the country’s nuclear programme and described them as “false and deceitful”.
